Simple JavaScript Games
Initially these games were intended to emulate those I wrote to run on a 16-Bit minicomputer. However,
the temptation to experiment with the combination of JavaScript & CSS features proved too great. Consequently these games meerly
give a flavour of those first available, for pure fun, circa early 1970s.
World War II German Third Reich Cipher Machines
The Enigma and the Lorenz SZ were the principle machines used by the Nazi for secret communications.
Somewhat ironically it proved much harder to produce an emulator for the Enigma machine than for
the Lorenz SZ teletypewriter that employed a far more complex and virtually unbreakable method of
encipherment compared to that of the Enigma machines.

History of Digital Computers / Digital Data Processors
Digital computers provide the capability of handling large amounts of data together with repetitive
manipulation and/or calculations. A military need saw the initial development of a digital data
processor, however the scientific and commercial communities soon recognised its potential for
their purposes.
Covers the key figures: Alan Turing, Tommy Flowers and Max Newman, and the part John Von Neumann played.
The evolution of digital computers is presented in the form of time-line.
